Pelican Point ( German  Pelican Point ) is a peninsula of beach sand near the port town of Walvis Bay on the Atlantic coast of Namibia . It limits the Walvis Bay with the Walvis Bay lagoon west.

Due to siltation, the peninsula has migrated about two kilometers north into the sea in the last 120 years. Between 1895 and 1980 this increased annually by an average of 17.4 meters, between 1980 and 1996 by more than 22 meters.

It is home to large colonies of the South African fur seal as well as the operating historic lighthouse Pelican Point and a lodge . Much of Pelican Point is only accessible by off-road vehicle.

A landing stage for smaller ships was closed in 2014.
