Pelle Carlberg
Pelle Carlberg (born October 21, 1969 in Uppsala ) is a Swedish indie pop musician.
Career
Carlberg grew up in the Swedish university town of Uppsala, which is about 70 kilometers north of Stockholm . As a teenager he was enthusiastic about Depeche Mode and The Cure . A concert by the band Gyllene Tider , in which Per Gessle played at the time , later known as one half of Roxette , was a defining experience for Carlberg in 1980, because from that day on he wanted to become a musician and perform in front of an audience. He then played in various bands, which remain largely unknown. In 1998 Carlberg founded his band Edson , which also became known outside of Sweden in the indie scene. After three published albums, Carlberg tried his hand at being a solo artist and released his first solo EP, Go To Hell, Miss Rydell , in March 2005 on Labrador Records , where he had already produced with Edson . EP Riverbank followed in October of the same year . The success encouraged him to write his debut album Everything. Now! At the turn of the year 2005/2006 . to publish. In March 2007, the follow-up album In A Nutshell was released .
In spring 2008, Pelle Carlberg went on tour again with the band members of Edson. Together with Club 8 they gave concerts in China , Taiwan , Hong Kong , Singapore , Malaysia and Indonesia . In September 2008 the third solo album by Carlberg was The Lilac Time .
In summer 2009 Pelle Carlberg recorded his own Swedish children's songs with his three youngest children Truls and the twins Astrid and Hedda. Under the name Tvillingarna, Truls & Jag, the four of them also stood together on stage in Stockholm.
