successes

Per-Olof Arvidsson took part in the Olympic Games in London in 1908 and in Stockholm in 1912 . With the free rifle in 1908 he won the silver medal behind Norway and ahead of France in the three-position battle with the team. With 812 points, he was the second best shooter in the team, which in addition to Arvidsson also included Claës Rundberg , Janne Gustafsson , Gustaf Adolf Jonsson , Axel Jansson and Gustav-Adolf Sjöberg . He finished the individual in twelfth place. In the team competition with the army rifle over six distances, he reached fifth place. Four years later he did not come in the rifle disciplines in the three-position fight beyond the 48th rank with the free rifle and 18th rank with the army rifle. Even in the individual competition on the running deer in a single shot it was only enough for 26th place. The double shot was far more successful with fifth place, but he achieved his greatest Olympic success in the team rating of the single shot. With Alfred Swahn , Oscar Swahn and Åke Lundeberg he was Olympic champion ahead of the US and Finnish teams . Arvidsson was the team's weakest shooter with 32 points.
