Gustaf Adolf Jonsson (born June 26, 1879 in Stockholm , † April 30, 1949 there ) was a Swedish sports shooter .

Gustaf Adolf Jonsson took part in three Olympic Games . With the free rifle in London in 1908 he won the silver medal behind Norway and ahead of France in the three-position battle. With 840 points, he was the team's best shooter, which in addition to Jonsson also included Claës Rundberg , Janne Gustafsson , Per-Olof Arvidsson , Axel Jansson and Gustav-Adolf Sjöberg . He finished the individual in 15th place. With the team in competition with the army rifle over six distances, he was fifth. At the Olympic Games in Stockholm in 1912 he reached eleventh place with the army rifle in the three-position fight in the individual. In the team competition, he finished first with Hugo Johansson , Erik Blomqvist , Carl Björkman , Bernhard Larsson and Mauritz Eriksson with a total of 5655 points ahead of Norway and Denmark and thus became Olympic champion . With the army rifle, he finished the individual competition in 16th place. In 1920 Jonsson started in Antwerp in three disciplines. In the prone position with the army rifle over 600 m he did not achieve a front placement. In the team competition, he secured bronze over 600 m alongside Erik Blomqvist, Hugo Johansson, Mauritz Eriksson and Erik Ohlsson . He finished the combined team competition over 300 and 600 m in sixth place.
