In 1936 he made his debut at the games in Berlin in the 8-meter class when he was fourth as a crew member of Tore Holm with the Ilderim and narrowly missed the medals. He started in the kite boat class 16 years later at the Olympic Games in Helsinki . He was the skipper of the Tornado , whose crew consisted of Sidney Boldt-Christmas and Erland Almkvist .
