Erland Herman Lison Almkvist (born September 2, 1912 in Stockholm , † September 20, 1999 in Lidingö ) was a Swedish sailor .
successes
Erland Almkvist, who was a member of the Kungliga Svenska Segelsällskapet , took part in the kite boat class at the 1952 Olympic Games in Helsinki . He was there alongside Sidney Boldt-Christmas crew member of Skipper Per Gedda . With the Tornado they won one of the total of seven races and finished second with 5555 points behind Thor Thorvaldsen's Pan from Norway and ahead of Theodor Thomsens Gustel X from Germany, with which they received the silver medal.
