Per Aaby Pallesen (born April 30, 1942 in Aars , Denmark ) is a Danish actor , director , screenwriter , theater director , comedian and musician .

biography

Pallesen graduated from school as a savings bank assistant. He later trained from 1962 to 1966 at the drama school of Aalborg Theater . The actor Eddie Skoller , who had taken over the management of the summer revue in Hjørring ( Hjørringrevyen ) in 1977 after the death of Thøger Olesen , brought Pallesen to this revue in 1978. One year later (1979) Pallesen took over the management of this revue himself. Since then he has been director and leader of this revue for 20 years. Due to the extraordinary success and the humor of Pallesen's Hjørring-Revue , it was taken over as a broadcast by the Danish television Danmarks Radio . Since 1966 he has also had a myriad of roles, mostly on comedic subjects in plays in various formats on the radio, in the theater, in revues, as well as in film and television. He had his well-known appearances in the television show Pallesen-Pilmark and in the role of Severin Boldt (waiter in the station bar) in Matador and as Ib in the television series Gøngehøvdingen . He also worked as a screenwriter and director. He also worked on the satirical television program Dansk Naturgas as a screenwriter, director and actor.

Among other things, he has appeared in the theater and in musicals in the plays Styrmand Karlsens flammer , in Spillemand på en tagryg and in Les Misérables . Pallesen had other important roles and appearances at the Det Kongelige Teater and the Aveny Teatret . In addition to his acting activities, he was also involved as a director, screenwriter at the theater and in several revues. From 2001 to 2007 he was director of the Nørrebros Teater . In 2010 he played the role of Václav Havel in the 2008 play Afsked (Farewell) at the Odense Theater .

Restaurant and wine connoisseurs

For several years Pallesen has been active as a gourmet , wine connoisseur and restaurant critic through his private trips to Rome . He has published his studies and experiences in Denmark since 2010 in the travel guide Spis i Roms sidegader and since 2009 in the restaurant guide Glæden ved vin udgivet på , which are published by Thaning & Appel . He also gives around 25 public lectures about wine and good food every year.

Private

Pallesen was married to the actress Kirsten Peüliche from 1966 to 1991. Two daughters came from this marriage, the actresses Trine Pallesen and Sofie Pallesen . After separating from his wife, he lived a few years in partnership with the 25 years younger choreographer and actress Jeanette Binderup-Schultz . After the failure of this relationship, he still lives with the dentist Vivian Dencker .
