Elsa Lystad (born July 9, 1930 in the Rodeløkka district of Oslo in Norway ) is a Norwegian actress and comedian .

biography

Lystad was born in Oslo Rodeløkka. Her mother was the cleaning lady Thora Aamot (1900–1972) from Stryn in Nordfjord and her father was the manager Erling Magnus Lystad (1905–1988). After their mother Thora Aamot separated from her father, they moved back to Stryn in 1935. Elsa Lystad went to school there for two years in her first years and thereby learned to speak the Norwegian Nordfjord dialect. In 1937 the mother and her daughter moved back to Oslo to Nordal Bruns gate . Lystad later went to an advanced training school for girls in Oslo and after completing her training initially worked as a secretary in the advertising department of the Norwegian daily Dagbladet . In 1961 Lystadt married the Hungarian- born and stage manager Szemes Arpad (1930–1998).

Lystad made her debut as a stage actress at the Falkbergets Teater in 1957 , where she appeared in the role of Laura Isaksen in the play Bør Børson jr , directed by Toralf Sandø . She then toured Norway with this theater for a year. From 1958 to 1964 she worked at Det Norske Teatret , where she received a number of supporting roles. She had her breakthrough in 1965 in the performance of Lysthuset and was engaged by the prominent actors Rolv Wesenlund and Harald Heide-Steen junior for further appearances in the theater. Lystad then worked at the Chat Noir Theater and at Norwegian TV Theaters ( Fjernsynsteatret ). From 1973 to 1976 she performed at the Oslo Nye Teater and from 1976 to 1980 she was employed by Den Nationale Scene . She then worked as a freelance actress and played in various other Norwegian cabaret theaters such as Lysthuset on Stortingsgata in Oslo . During this time Lystad often appeared together with Rolf Wesenlund in theater and television . The Norwegian radio program of NRK she had at that time its most famous voice as a woman Sløying what they also made known outside Oslo in Norway. From then on she got bigger roles in Norwegian theaters, on television and film as well as on the radio.

1990 played the role as "Oddveig" in the television comedy series Fredrikssons fabrikk and 1994 in the sequel of the same name Fredrikssons fabrikk - The movie . In 2007 Laststad had a leading role with actress Marianne Krogness at Chat Noir in the play Ingen grunn til panikk! and they then went on tour together across the country in the summer. For several years Lystad seems even in the radio program Nitimen of NRK P1 with. Together with actress Morten Røhrt , she still appears in the weekly humor entertainment program Tips-telefonen . In 2011 she appeared in the Norwegian 3D children's film Magic Silver 2 - The Search for the Magical Horn ( Blåfjell 2: Jakten på det magiske horn ) as an old mother. In February 2012 she last played mother Åse in the stage production Peer Gynt (My name is Peer Gynt) by Flukt Productions based on a presentation by Henrik Ibsen in the Kanonhallen in Oslo's Løren district .
