Pernilla Maria Theresa Andersson Dregen (born December 10, 1974 in Stockholm ) is a Swedish singer-songwriter , pianist and producer .

Life

Pernilla Andersson was born on December 10, 1974 in Stockholm and grew up in Hässleholm and Kristianstad . She is married to Andreas Tyrone Dregen , the guitarist of the band Backyard Babies .

Andersson began her career writing and producing songs for Svante Thuresson . As a pianist she toured with Thomas Di Leva. In 2001 she received a SKAP scholarship.

In 2011 Andersson took part in the Melodifestivalen , the Swedish preliminary decision for the Eurovision Song Contest 2011 in Düsseldorf . She made it into the Andra Chansen round with the song Desperados , but did not make it to the final. In 2016 she took part in the Melodifestivalen again with the song Mitt guld (Eng. My Gold ) , but did not qualify for the next round in the first semifinals on February 7, 2016.
