Perthan is an insecticide used to control insects on fruits and vegetables. It is also used against moths and carpet beetles in dry cleaning and the textile industry . It is structurally related to dichlorodiphenyldichloroethane (DDD).

No pesticides containing this active ingredient are permitted in the European Union or Switzerland .
