Peter Allday
Peter Allday ( Peter Charles Allday ; born June 27, 1927 in the London Borough of Wandsworth ; † March 10, 2018 ) was a British hammer thrower .
In 1952 he came in 21st place at the Olympic Games in Helsinki .
At the British Empire and Commonwealth Games in 1954 he was starting fifth for England and ninth at the Olympic Games in Melbourne in 1956 .
In 1958 he won bronze at the British Empire and Commonwealth Games in Cardiff and finished 15th at the European Athletics Championships in Stockholm .
In 1956 he became English champion. In the same year he set on September 2 in Bisham Abbey with 59.61 m on his personal best.
He was married to the former discus thrower and shot putter Suzanne Allday (née Farmer).
