Peter Aufderhaar (born March 8, 1973 in Rheine ) is a German film composer , sound engineer and sound designer .

biography

Aufderhaar studied music and German for teaching at the Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster up to the 1st state examination and then switched to the International Film School in Cologne , where he completed a postgraduate course in sound and design.

After Aufderhaar worked as a sound designer for the short film Eins zu Eins , a project of the ifs International Film School Cologne, the following year he worked as a sound designer on the short film Ich rette das Multiversum . In the film we witness a brainstorming session that the main characters use to create an eternal paradise. For the comedic short film Vola! (2008) with Martin Müller and Jörg Reimers , a film that was shot in the Flying Saucers Café in Santa Monica , California , he worked again as a sound designer. In the comedic crime drama Sascha by Dennis Todorović , which was published in 2010 and is about a child prodigy at the piano, Aufderhaar was responsible for the music and sound design. When the sponsorship award was awarded, it was said: “The wonderful directing performance by Dennis Todorovic has found its equivalent in the musical arrangement by Peter Aufderhaar.” The tragic comedy Sister Weiß , published in 2015, brought another collaboration with Todorović. Aufderhaar composed the score for the film around two unequal sisters embodied by Željka Preksavec and Lisa Martinek .
