Peter Böckli

Peter Böckli (born May 7, 1936 in Basel ) is a Swiss legal scholar and author .

Live and act

Böckli studied law at the University of Basel , where he received his doctorate in 1960 with a thesis on company law . During his student days he joined the Swiss Zofingerverein . In 1962 he was admitted to the bar . In 1975 he received his habilitation in tax law . Until his retirement in 2001, he taught as an associate professor for tax law at the Law Faculty of the University of Basel.

He also held mandates as a board member of Swiss public companies. Until 2006 he was Vice President of the major bank UBS .

He was appointed by the Swiss Federal Council in expert commissions to prepare the revision of federal laws.
