Peter Balsiger

Peter Balsiger (* 1941 ) is a Swiss journalist , editor-in-chief and author .

Life

After dropping out of law studies, Balsiger worked as a reporter and war correspondent for the Swiss Ringier Verlag and made extensive air trips through Africa, Asia and America as a private pilot. He was editor-in-chief of various newspapers and magazines such as Blick , SonntagsBlick , Schweizer Illustrierte and L'illustré published by the Swiss Ringier Verlag .

The purchase of Heering Verlag by Ringier, the takeover of the title Der Flieger and the associated founding of Ringier Deutschland GmbH brought Balsiger to Munich , where he built up the aviator magazine that resulted from the Flieger as founding editor-in-chief . He later moved to Quick as editor-in-chief and, after they were hired by Burda-Verlag, as editor-in-chief of Super Illu . This was followed by assignments in Shanghai , Moscow , Warsaw , Budapest , Prague , Berlin , Hamburg andZurich - primarily to position national and licensed editions of Burda Verlag magazines, such as Playboy , and to support the editorial offices. Balsiger lives in Munich today.
