Peter Beck (* 1966 in Bremen ) is a German politician of the alternative for Germany .

biography

education and profession

Beck completed his training as a ship mechanic at a Bremen shipping company. After five years at sea, he was a four-year contract soldier and left the Bundeswehr as a staff sergeant . He then trained as a law enforcement officer with the former Federal Border Police, since 2005 Federal Police. Until his retirement after an accident at work , he worked as a police chief in the Federal Police in Bremen for the Federal Police Inspection Bremen and in a total of four missions abroad in UNMIK Kosovo and in the border region between EUBAM Ukraine and Moldova .

Beck is married, has four children and lives in Bremen. He worked in the Bremen refugee aid and together with his wife as foster parents since 2014.

Beck was elected a member of the Bremen citizenship in May 2019 via the state list (3rd place) . Here he is a member of the Deputation for Home Affairs. Because of quarrels, the AfD faction in Bremen's citizenship broke up in early September into a group of three members of parliament and two non-attached members.

In September 2019 he was elected as the successor to Frank Magnitz as the AfD state chairman in Bremen.

Beck describes himself as a liberal politician within the middle of the AfD. His political topics are: integration / immigration, internal security, youth and social affairs and family.
