Stefan Möller (born March 23, 1975 in Erfurt ) is a German lawyer and politician ( AfD ). He has been one of the two state spokespersons for the AfD Thuringia and a member of the Thuringian state parliament since 2014 .

Life

Möller began studying law at the Friedrich Schiller University in Jena in 1994 . After completing his legal clerkship , he has been working as a lawyer since 2004 and has been running his own law firm in Erfurt since 2007 . At the same time he became a corporate lawyer for Thüringer Energie AG in 2007 .

Möller is married and has two children.

Möller, together with Björn Höcke , has been one of the two state spokespersons for the AfD Thuringia since 2014. From 2013 to the beginning of 2016 he was also an assessor in the AfD district association in Central Thuringia. In the state elections in 2014 , he entered the Thuringian state parliament via the state list of the AfD Thuringia. On September 22, 2014, he was elected parliamentary manager of the AfD parliamentary group. In March 2015 he signed the Erfurt resolution .

Möller is a member of the Committee for Economy and Science. He is also the energy, economic and migration policy spokesman for the AfD parliamentary group. From 2015 to November 6, 2017, Möller was a member of the advisory board of the Thüringer Aufbaubank and the Society for Employment and Economic Development of the Free State of Thuringia mbH. In April 2018 Möller was elected chairman of the justice committee in the Thuringian state parliament. The election was preceded by a dispute lasting several months after the previous chairman Stephan Brandner had moved to the Bundestag ; MPs from the SPD , the Left and the Greens accused Möller of “insufficient understanding of the rule of law”, and he also misused Parliament's rights with “rules of procedure games”.

In the Mayor election in Erfurt on April 15, 2018, Stefan Möller received 14.4 percent of the votes and thus came third.

In addition to Björn Höcke, Möller was the co-initiator of the Wednesday demonstrations of the Thuringian state association of the AfD.
