Peter Bojara (born July 19, 1939 ) is a former German soccer goalkeeper. From 1961 to 1964 he played for SC Turbine Erfurt in the GDR Oberliga , the top division in GDR football .

Athletic career

Until 1960 Peter Bojara was the goalkeeper of the company sports community (BSG) Motor Mitte Suhl and last played with her in the third-class II. GDR league . At the beginning of the 1961/62 season he moved to the GDR upper division club SC Turbine Erfurt, where he was first goalkeeper number three behind Günter Gleis and Horst Weigang . In the point games played this season due to the change from the calendar season to summer-spring rhythm 39, he only represented track and Weigang once. During the season, Gleis was excluded from the SC for disciplinary reasons, and junior national goalkeeper Weigang had to be handed over to the SC Rotation Leipzig at the end of the season . Then coach Wolfgang Seifert made the 23-year-old Bojara a regular goalkeeper and used him in all 26 league games in the 1962/63 season. Also in 1963/64 Bojara was goalkeeper number one, but had to pause several times and was only used in 17 league games. At the end of the season, SC Turbine had been relegated to the GDR league . There Bojara lost his regular place to the younger Klaus Reßler and was only in goal in seven of 30 league games. Even after the immediate resurgence, Bojara couldn't get past Reßler. In the league year 1965/66 he played only three league games and was used five times after relegation in the GDR league season 1966/67. In the meantime, the soccer section of the SC Turbine had been converted into FC Rot-Weiß Erfurt, which made it back to the league in 1967. For the 1967/68 season, Weigang, who had meanwhile become the goalkeeper of the GDR national team , returned to Erfurt, and Bojara no longer had a chance in the league. Instead, he was nine times in goal with GDR league team FC Rot-Weiß II in 30 league games.

With the beginning of the season 1968/69 Bojara joined the GDR league club Motor Eisenach . After 25 league appearances, he left BSG Motor again and moved to BSG Motor Sömmerda in the third-class district league Erfurt (the former third-class II. GDR league had been discontinued). With Motor Sömmerda Bojara became district champion in 1970, but the team missed qualifying for the GDR league with fifth place in the promotion round. After Sömmerda had repeated the championship in 1971 and this time made promotion, Bojara played with the team renamed BSG Zentronik for two seasons in the GDR league. There were now 22 league games played, of which Bojara played 14 and 12 games. In the summer of 1973, at the age of 34, he retired from competitive sports after having played 48 league games and 72 GDR league games.
