Peter Brüseke

Peter Brüseke (* 6. January 1947 ; † 16th July 2018 ) was a German SPD - politician . He was honorary and full-time mayor of the Westphalian district town of Soest .

Life

Peter Brüseke was married and had two daughters. After graduating from high school in Unna , he studied for teaching at elementary and secondary schools. He taught as a teacher in Lippstadt and was vice principal of the Johannes elementary school in Soest.

Career

Peter Brüseke was a member of the Soest City Council from 1975 to 1999 and from 2009 to 2014. From 1989 to 1995 he was honorary and then from 1995 to 1999 the first full-time mayor of the city of Soest. From 1999 until his death he was a member of the district council of the Soest district, where he was active in various committees. In his hometown, the village of Meckingsen , he was from 1979 to 1985 and from 2004 to 2009 mayor .

Peter Brüseke was involved in numerous committees. In 1972 he joined the SPD. From 2005 to 2010 he was chairman of the SPD local association Soest. Since 1995 he has been a member of the Ingrid Kipper Foundation. In 1976 he was Soest's first hunter's club . In 1985 he was awarded the Soest Ring of Honor for his commitment.
