Peter Braun (Author)
Peter Braun (born October 13, 1960 in Bamberg ; † January 30, 2016 there ) was a German writer and journalist .
Life
Peter Braun did an apprenticeship as a car mechanic, followed by a degree in dentistry. Since 1989 he has worked as a publicist and freelance journalist for the Süddeutsche Zeitung , Rheinischer Merkur and Bayerischer Rundfunk , among others . As an author he published many books about the romantic ETA Hoffmann . In the winter semester 2001/2002 as well as in the summer semester 2003 he held a teaching position for communication science at the Otto-Friedrich-Universität Bamberg .
Braun lived in Bamberg. He died in January 2016 after a fall.
