Peter Casparsson (born March 14, 1975 in Falun ) is a former Swedish ice hockey player who was under contract with the Vienna Capitals in the Austrian ice hockey league between 2007 and 2012 .

Career

Peter Casparsson began his career as an ice hockey player in the youth department of Leksands IF , for whose professional team he was active in the Elitserien from 1993 to 1996 . He then spent two years in Division 1, which was still second at the time, before signing for the 1998/99 season with its league rivals Linköpings HC , with whom he immediately rose to the Elitserien. After relegation to the newly founded second league HockeyAllsvenskan , he and his team achieved immediate promotion in 2001. Until 2005 he played almost exclusively in the Elitserien for Linköpings HC, only the 2002/03 season he ended with their league rivals Malmö Redhawks .

From 2005 to 2007 Casparsson stood for one season each for SG Cortina in the Italian Serie A1 and the Straubing Tigers in the German Ice Hockey League . From the 2007/08 season , the former Swedish junior international was on the ice for the Vienna Capitals in the Austrian ice hockey league .

In 2012 he ended his career and became material manager at Linköpings HC.

International

For Sweden Casparsson took part in the U18 European Junior Championship in 1993, in which he finished first with his team.
