Peter Düwel

Peter Düwel (born December 1, 1932 , † March 11, 1999 ) was a German lawyer and ministerial official .

Life

Düwel completed a law degree , which he completed with the second state examination in law. In 1961 he was at the University of Hamburg with the topic of legal consciousness and existential decision to doctor of law doctorate . He then worked as a court assessor and then as a ministerial official in the state administration of Lower Saxony. From 1980 to 1987 he was a state councilor for the school authorities, the cultural authorities and the health authorities at the Senate of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg . From June 21, 1990 to February 19, 1991, he was State Secretary in the Lower Saxony Ministry of Justice . From September 1991 to June 1994 he was the cultural representative of the Lower Saxony state government for the Expo 2000 .

Düwel was a member of the SPD and for a long time chairman of the cultural forum of social democracy in the Hanover region .
