Despite his abstract compositions, Dietschy repeatedly referred to reality. His style is called a kind of surrealism. According to the artist Serge Brignoni , Dietschy was someone who was constantly looking for himself and who showed a lot of courage and a thirst for adventure in his pictures. He also reinvented himself again and again with unbroken daring.
