Peter Dippon

Peter Dippon (born May 27, 1972 in Biberach an der Riss ) is a German French scholar and business economist and has been a professor for tourism and event management at the ISM University on the Stuttgart campus since 2014 .

Life

After training as a travel agent (IHK) at FIRST Business Travel in Munich, graduating with a degree in business administration from the Kempten University of Applied Sciences, as well as a degree in French studies, France center at the University of Freiburg , he was transferred from the major district town of Donaueschingen in 2002 appointed head of tourism and sport. In this role he was also the managing director of the international CHI horse show . From 2007 to 2014 Peter Dippon worked at the Heidelberg University of Education , Geography Department in the context of his research focus on UNESCO World Heritage . In 2012 he received his doctorate on the educational mandate of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites at the Heidelberg University of Education.

Since 2009, Dippon has been a co-initiator of the World Heritage Education working group organized in cooperation with the German UNESCO Commission .

Memberships & functions

Peter Dippon has been responsible for the "Tourism & Event Management" course at the International School of Management, Campus Stuttgart, since 2016. Prior to that, he worked on the examination and research committee at the EBC Hochschule Campus Stuttgart and as coordinator of the Heritag research cluster. From 2009 to 2012 Dippon was a managing director of the Heidelberg Geographical Society (HGG) at the University of Heidelberg. In this function, he was also the deputy chairman of the geographic societies at the German Society for Geography (DGfG) and co-editor of the annual HGG journal.
