Fahr first attracted attention through public campaigns with world-format posters: 1982 aphorisms , 1983 autotod and 1988 dialogue with the silent majority . After the literary collage Berner Kälte , which deals with the youthful attitude towards life in the modern city, he published TagTraumLiebe , relationship stories in the field of tension between spring love. In 1993, in the volume of essays Ego and Gomorrha , he coined terms such as suicide society, environmental fascism and ecological world civil war in view of the increasing destruction of nature. In the following years his time criticism dealt a. a. with genetic manipulation, militarism, xenophobia, racism, culture and literature.
Fahr has published political, nature and love poetry in six volumes of poetry (2018 combined in the anthology Selten nur ). In some poetry and prose works such as Negligent , Menetekel and Early Love , he combined text and photography. In 2015 his dialogic autobiography Everything is not everything was published .
