Peter Fister

Peter Fister (born February 26, 1939 in Haldensleben ) is a German timpanist and arranger .

Life

Peter Fister studied music in Magdeburg and Leipzig. At the State Theater in Oldenburg , he first worked as a solo timpanist. In 1964 he became a member of the small orchestra of the Südwestfunk in Freiburg. From 1970 he worked in Baden-Baden as a member of the symphony orchestra of the Südwestfunk . Since 1965 he has also worked as a conductor for an amateur brass orchestra . In 1979 he founded Peter-Fister Musikverlag in Gernsbach with the aim of publishing concert works for amateur brass orchestras in artistically acceptable quality. His popular arrangements include an adaptation of memories of Circus Renz .
