Peter Gadiot (born January 2, 1986 in East Grinstead , West Sussex ) is a British actor .

Life

Peter Gadiot was born in East Grinstead , West Sussex , in January 1986 . He is of Dutch-Mexican descent as his father is from the Netherlands and his mother is of Mexican descent. He is fluent in English and Spanish. He has an older brother. Gadiot studied at the Drama Center London in London and has appeared in numerous plays.

He made his acting debut in the television series My Spy Family . He then starred alongside Tom Felton , Gemma Atkinson and Josh Bowman as Stephen Moore in the horror film Night Wolf , which was released in 2010. In The Forbidden Girl he played the lead role of Toby McClift . In 2013 he starred alongside Léa Seydoux in the short film Prada: Candy .

From 2013 to 2014 he played one of the lead roles in the fantasy television series Once Upon a Time in Wonderland , a short-lived spin-off of Once Upon a Time - Once Upon a Time… . He could be seen as the genie in a bottle, Cyrus , Alice's lover. Since July 2014 he has played the supporting role of the former dancer Caesar in the action television series Matador broadcast by El Rey Network . The six-part mini-series Tut - The Greatest Pharaoh of All Time , scheduled for autumn 2015 [out of date] , slips Gadiot into the role of Ka . Since 2016 he has played a recurring leading role in the US television series Queen of the South .
