Léa Seydoux
Léa Hélène Seydoux Fornier de Clausonne (born July 1, 1985 in Paris ) is a French film actress .
Life
Origin and family
Léa Seydoux is the daughter of the co-founder and president of Parrot SA , Henri Seydoux (* 1960), and his cousin , the actress Valérie Schlumberger (* 1952), who comes from the Schlumberger family. She is the granddaughter of Jérôme Seydoux (* 1934), the former president of the film production company Pathé . Her two great uncles are Nicolas Seydoux , managing director of the film production company Gaumont , and Michel Seydoux , president of the French football club OSC Lille . Their grandfather was the diplomat and author Jacques Seydoux .
Seydoux has lived with André Meyer since 2013. In January 2017, they became parents to a son.
Acting career
In 2006, Seydoux began acting. In 2009 she was nominated for a César for her role in Christophe Honoré's feature film The Beautiful Girl . She received another César nomination in 2011 for the female lead in Rebecca Zlotowski's drama Belle Épine . In Benoît Jacquot's historical drama Farewell my Queen! , which opened the Berlinale competition in 2012 , she played another leading role.
From 2009 she also had supporting roles in international productions such as Quentin Tarantino's war drama Inglourious Basterds , Ridley Scott's remake Robin Hood and Woody Allen's Midnight in Paris .
In 2013 she and her film partner Adèle Exarchopoulos were awarded a Golden Palm at the Cannes Film Festival for their acting performance in Abdellatif Kechiche's drama Blue is a warm color . For the first time, the jury awarded this prize not only to the director of the film, but also to both leading actresses. In the 24th Bond film Specter , she was seen as Bond girl Madeleine Swann. For this role she was committed again in the sequel No Time to Die . After Eunice Gayson , she appears in the same role as only the second Bond girl in another film.
In 2018 Seydoux was a member of the competition jury at the 71st Cannes Film Festival . In the same year she was appointed to the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences , which awards the Oscars every year.
Seydoux plays the role of Fragile in the 2019 video game Death Stranding , directed by Hideo Kojima .
