Benoît Jacquot
Benoît Jacquot (born February 5, 1947 in Paris ) is a French film director and screenwriter .
Life
Benoît Jacquot has worked as a director since the 1970s . He produced for both cinema and television. Jacquot shot several times with actresses such as Isabelle Huppert , Sandrine Kiberlain , Virginie Ledoyen and Isild Le Besco . Benoît Jacquot's film activities range from historical novel adaptations and documentaries to relationship films, dramas, comedies, short films and a film adaptation of an opera. In 2005 he was a member of the jury of the 58th Cannes Film Festival , where he was represented in the 1998 School of Desire in the competition for the Palme d' Or. For Farewell, My Queen! (2012), Diary of a Maid of Honor (2015) and Eva (2018) each received invitations to the competition at the Berlin International Film Festival .
He rarely appears as an actor, most recently in 2013 in New York .
