Reviews

"Certainly you like to watch this excellent cast of actors at work ... Nevertheless, you follow the story with slowly increasing impatience, because the film repeatedly tests the frustration tolerance of its audience by making bold leaps in time in the most exciting moments ... 3 Heart plays with the feelings of its characters like a cat with a half-dead mouse - you just don't like to watch. "

“Poelvoorde and Gainsbourg can play such encounters. But for an amour fou, “3 hearts” never gets the right pulse. Much is eaten ... The main eater is Catherine Deneuve, mother of the sisters ... What else would a woman of her age have in life? One also suspects for a long time how everything will end, but that is still going on, long, too long. Not only Marc, this film too has recently had a weak heart. "

“But above all, this is about a genealogy of cinema, of film history. Chiara Mastroianni, who plays Sylvie's sister and Marc's future wife, is the biological daughter of Catherine Deneuve, who portrays her mother in the film. It's only a small step from there to François Truffaut , one of whose muses Deneuve was. As in Truffaut's ' The Woman Next Door ', the great, tragically missed love between Marc and Sylvie will never cease to disturb the calm of an arranged and tidy marriage, only to lead directly to a middle-class nightmare. "
