Peter Hettlich

Peter Hettlich (born January 29, 1959 in Cologne ) is a German politician ( Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen ). From 2002 to 2009 he was a member of the German Bundestag .

Life and work

After graduating from high school in 1977 in Cologne, Hettlich was a temporary soldier for two years and then completed a voluntary social year in Bombay . After that, he did an agricultural apprenticeship from 1981 and began studying agricultural science at the University of Bonn in 1983 , which he completed in 1990 as a certified agricultural engineer. Professionally, from 1988, parallel to his studies, he was office manager in an architecture firm, from 1993 he became self-employed as a project controller and construction manager and worked in Leipzig and Cologne and in the district of northern Saxony . After completing his work as a member of the Bundestag (2002–2009), he worked again as a self-employed project controller and site manager in Leipzig and ran an agricultural farm in central Saxony as a sideline.

Since October 2015 he has been working in the Ministry for the Environment, Agriculture, Nature and Consumer Protection in Düsseldorf. There he headed Department II (Agriculture, Horticulture, Rural Areas) until September 2017. After the change of government in Düsseldorf, he initially took over provisional management of the State Stud NRW in Warendorf from October 2017. Since April 2018 he has headed the project group Digitization and Sustainability in Agriculture and Food - Perspective 2030 in the Düsseldorf Ministry with the focus on digitization.

Peter Hettlich is married and has three daughters and two sons. He continues to live with his family in Leipzig.

Party politics

Hettlich has been a member of Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen since 1998. From 2000 to 2008 he was the spokesman for the Torgau-Oschatz Green District Association (which is now part of the Northern Saxony District Association). From January 2005 to February 2007 he was a member of the state executive committee of the Greens in Saxony . Since October 2012 he has been the honorary spokesman for the LAG Ecology, he is also active in the LAG Agriculture and in the BAGs Ecology and Agriculture. Peter Hettlich is currently running as a district administrator candidate in North Saxony for an electoral alliance made up of DIE LINKE and Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen, the election date was June 7, 2015.

From 2002 to 2009 he was a member of the German Bundestag for two legislative terms . From 2005 to 2009 he was deputy chairman of the committee for transport, building and urban development and from 2005 spokesman for the Bundestag faction Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen for building policy. In addition, from 2002 to 2009 he headed the faction working group Aufbau Ost .

Peter Hettlich has always entered the Bundestag via the Saxony state list. His home constituencies were Delitzsch - Torgau - Oschatz - Riesa (2002–2005) and Döbeln - Mittweida - Meißen II (2005–2009).

In 2009 he was no longer a candidate for family reasons on the state list and has therefore no longer entered the Bundestag. In the Bündnis 909 / Die Grünen party, he is only active as a simple member of the Leipzig Land district association and on a voluntary basis.

Volunteering

From February 2010 to February 2013, Peter Hettlich was honorary spokesman for the regional association of Saxony, Thuringia, and Saxony-Anhalt of the working group for rural agriculture (AbL). From 2013 to 2015 he was a member of the regional board of BUND Leipzig.
