Peter Hohl (born July 29, 1941 in Karlsruhe ) is a German writer , publicist and publisher .

Peter Hohl is a specialist author on security and IT security and a well-known aphorist . Peter Hohl was trained as a journalist at the Heidelberg Rhein-Neckar-Zeitung after graduating from high school in Karlsruhe, training to be an actor in Heidelberg and breaking off his German studies and history studies . From there he moved to Baden-Baden for what was then Südwestfunk (radio) as a reporter and editor. He moderated magazine programs ( today at noon ) and produced reports and features. From 1967 to 1979 he was Eduard Zimmermann's closest collaborator . In 1980 he founded the Peter Hohl Verlag, which from 1991 traded under the name SecuMedia Verlags-GmbH .

Peter Hohl is the initiator of the it-sa trade fair in Nuremberg, the IT security theme park and the lecture forums at the Security trade fair in Essen and the magazines WIK - magazine for business security and <kes> - the magazine for information security .

Peter Hohl became known to a broad audience - apart from his appearances at Aktenzeichen XY ... unsolved - from 1997 onwards through his weekly sayings in five books and on a website.
