Peter Klashorst
Peter Klashorst (born February 11, 1957 in Santpoort , municipality of Velsen , North Holland ; actually Peter van de Klashorst ) is a Dutch photographer , sculptor and painter . He specializes in painting and photographing mostly naked young women from the Netherlands, Africa and Thailand. His models are often prostitutes . Some of his photographs are of a pornographic nature.
Life
Klashorst grew up in Haarlem and graduated from the Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam in 1981 . He has two children.
In the 1980s, the painter Klashorst belonged to the Dutch artist group After Nature , which rediscovered Expressionism for itself and which is now part of the Neue Wilde or Neue Heftigen . He worked temporarily with the group around the Cologne exiled Czech Jiří Georg Dokoupil .
In 2000 he was arrested in the Muslim Senegal for his art and spent several weeks in custody. He was accused of creating opportunities for prostitution, inciting licentiousness and making obscene representations.
In 2003 Robert Vuijsje published a biography of Klashorst entitled King Klashorst . In 2003 and 2006, Klashorst made two unsuccessful attempts to reach political offices with new parties in regional elections.
Klashorst lived in Cambodia in 2010 . In 2010, an exhibition was prepared in Phnom Penh that deals with the Khmer Rouge regime .
