Peter Klitgaard

Peter Klitgaard (born April 9, 1943 in Copenhagen ) is a Danish cameraman .

Career

The son of the writer Mogens Klitgaard completed his training as a commercial filmmaker in 1965 and then joined Nordisk Film as a camera assistant . Since the late 1960s, he has also made feature films as the chief cameraman, including three films by the Olsen Gang . However, he also made numerous documentaries, where he also directed in some cases.

From 1973 to 1976 he was stationed in Tanzania as part of a film teaching project for the Danish state development organization Danida .

From 1970 Klitgaard taught as a visiting professor at the Danish Film School ; from 2000 to 2009 he was permanently employed there as a department head. He also taught at the European Film College in Ebeltoft , at Media College Denmark in Viborg and at Danmarks Radio .
