Peter Matthias Haselberg

Peter Matthias Haselberg (born December 12, 1712 in Greifswald ; † September 8, 1780 in Wismar ) was Land Syndikus of Swedish Pomerania and acting director of the Greifswald court .

Life

The son of the university and consistory secretary Peter Haselberg (1681–1783) and Maria Margareta Clemasius, daughter of the doctor Matthäus Clemasius and Anna Katharina Alberti, was tutored by the private tutor Bartholomäus Jordan until he began his studies in 1728 at the University of Greifswald . In addition to Jordan, who was now an adjunct of the philosophical faculty, his teachers included Andreas Westphal , Albert Georg Schwartz , Christian Nettelbladt , Philipp Balthasar Gerdes and Augustin Balthasar . After passing a disputation under Gerdes, he went to the University of Wittenberg in 1732 to complete his studies .

In 1734 he became secretary at the University of Greifswald. In 1737 he became a licentiate in law after an inaugural disputation .

In the following year he became city counsel for Greifswald. In 1764 he took over the office of State Syndic of Swedish Pomerania. From 1770 to 1779 he was acting director of the Greifswald court. He died on a business trip in Wismar.

Peter Matthias Haselberg was married to Maria Dorothea Lütkemann († 1759), a daughter of the general superintendent Timotheus Lütkemann, in his first marriage since 1751 . His second marriage was in 1760 with Margareta Amalia Stenzler, a daughter of the later general superintendent Laurentius Stenzler . The two sons came from the second marriage:
