Peter Parsch
Peter Parsch (born April 20, 1944 in Kamnitz , Czech Republic ; † July 6, 2009 ) was a German opera singer ( baritone ).
Life
Peter Parsch studied music with a focus on singing, trumpet and organ in Mainz . He had his first engagement in 1981 at the Stadttheater Mainz , and in 1987 he moved to the ensemble of the National Theater Mannheim .
He became known with title roles in operas such as Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's Figaros Hochzeit and in Gioachino Rossini's The Barber of Seville , as well as Dr. Falke in Johann Strauss ' operetta Die Fledermaus and as Henry Higgins in the musical My Fair Lady .
In addition to his operatic career, he and his family ran a wine bar in Drosselgasse in Rüdesheim am Rhein , where he himself repeatedly played popular music as a singer and trumpeter.
