In 1960 he and his wife moved to Australia for three years , where he worked as a commercial artist . An occupation that he continued in Austria in 1964, including for "consumption" .

In 1985, Prinz retired. Since then he has been painting large-format nudes in the style of fantastic realism . In 2003 his artist novel Schattenbild was published with numerous illustrations from his hand.

Works

For the children's magazine Wunderwelt he created the comic series "Willibald the Sorcerer's Apprentice", in which little Willi initially went on his drawn adventures alone until Peter Paul Prinz put the magician Hokus at his side. A win for the series, because Hokus failed some witchcraft in a spectacularly humorous way to the amusement of the readers. In addition, later came his plump, evil cousin Pokus.

The colorful pictures were arranged in three strips from top to bottom and provided with rhyming texts that were remarkably humorous and cheeky for the time. When Hokus and Willi bought a scooter, it is told in the following verses:

We can look where we want to go -
we see scooters rolling!
The master says to his boy:
"I want a vehicle like this!
Your resume is more joyful
do you own a scooter! "
You can get the scooters in installments -
which is why they suddenly had one.
