Peter Petersen (politician, 1926)

Peter Petersen (born October 30, 1926 in Hamburg ; † March 17, 2005 ) was a German politician ( CDU ).

Life and work

After attending school, Petersen was drafted into the Wehrmacht and participated in World War II as a soldier . He suffered a minor wound and was last promoted to flag junior . After graduating from high school in 1947, he worked for the Moral Armament (MRA) in Caux . He later worked as a freelance market researcher. Professionally, he went on several trips abroad to the United States , Western Europe , North Africa and Southeast Asia . He was also a first lieutenant in the Bundeswehr reserve .

Political party

Petersen joined the CDU and was deputy chairman of the CDU district association Leonberg .

MP

Petersen was a member of the Boeblingen district council from 1972 to 1983 . He was a member of the German Bundestag from 1965 to 1972 and from 1976 to 1990. In parliament he initially represented the constituency of Leonberg - Vaihingen , and since 1980 the constituency of Böblingen . He was also a member of the North Atlantic Assembly since 1967 .
