Peter Reinelt

Peter Reinelt (born July 13, 1939 in Bad Landeck , Glatz district ; † August 28, 2010 ) was a German educator and politician ( SPD ).

Reinelt attended the Rotteck-Gymnasium in Freiburg im Breisgau , where he graduated from high school. He then studied political science , history and German at the Albert Ludwigs University of Freiburg and at the Free University of Berlin . Then he practiced the teaching profession, where he rose to senior teacher.

In 1976 his political career began as a member of the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg , of which he was a member until 2001. He represented the constituency of Loerrach.

After the state elections in Baden-Württemberg in 1992, the state was ruled by a grand coalition under Prime Minister Erwin Teufel . Reinelt became State Secretary at the Ministry of the Environment under Minister Harald B. Schäfer . He was thus a voting member of the state government of Baden-Württemberg . In 1996 the grand coalition was replaced by a CDU / FDP coalition. Reinelt thus lost his office as State Secretary again, but remained a member of the state parliament.

Reinelt was married and had two children.
