Peter Rohrschneider (born April 30, 1946 ) is a former soccer player and soccer coach. The midfielder played 27 league games (1 goal) for Hamburger SV in the Bundesliga between 1966 and 1968 .

career

Peter Rohrschneider completed an apprenticeship as a chemical laboratory assistant in 1965 after his secondary school leaving certificate .

Rohrschneider played for the Harburger TB and the HSV amateurs before he was active for the Hamburger SV in the Bundesliga from 1966 to 1968 ; he ran on in 27 games and scored one goal. He also played twice for HSV in the European Cup. In the summer of 1968 he then moved to Switzerland for FC Thun . He made his debut on October 1, 1966 in a 3-2 home win against defending champions 1860 Munich in the Bundesliga. He ran on the side of Bernd Dörfel , Willi Giesemann , Uwe Seeler and Gert Dörfel on half-left.

From 1972 he was a coach in lower-class leagues, for example at SV Curslack-Neuengamme or FC Bergedorf 85 . Most recently, he was coach of the A-Jugend and the district league team of Harburg TB until the summer of 2007 .

In July 2007 he was sentenced to six years imprisonment for allegedly robbing several banks in East Germany with an accomplice between 1991 and 1992. Rohrschneider planned the raids while the accomplice carried out them. In these bank robberies, the duo is said to have stolen around 430,000 Deutschmarks. Rohrschneider was already delinquent in the Bundesliga. In 1968 he was serving a six month sentence for molesting minors. He was also fined in 2008 for insulting a guard in prison.
