Peter Schilpp

Peter Schilpp (born July 31, 1893 in Neckarau , † October 11, 1952 in Mannheim ) was a German politician.

Schilpp completed an apprenticeship as a toolmaker after primary school. From 1914 to 1918 he was a soldier in the First World War . Then he was a machine operator at the Süddeutsche Kabelwerke in Mannheim until 1952. For the last six years he was also chairman of the works council.

Schilpp became politically active in 1918 with the DNVP ( Christian Social People's Party in Baden ) and a year later with the Evangelical Social Party , which later became the Evangelical People's Service . In 1931/32 he was a member of the Mannheim city ​​council . After the Second World War, he joined the CDU in 1946 and was elected to the Mannheim municipal council. In the same year he was a member of the provisional parliament for Württemberg-Baden and the Constituent Assembly of Württemberg-Baden and was a member of the first state parliament of Württemberg-Baden until 1950 .
