Peter Schneeberger (journalist)

Peter Schneeberger (born April 25, 1972 in Zell am Ziller ) is an Austrian journalist and television presenter .

Life

Peter Schneeberger studied musicology and German literature in Salzburg , Berlin and Vienna from 1992 to 1996 . From 1999 he worked for the news magazine Profil , where he reported on the world of opera and theater as culture editor and published articles on restitution cases in Austria and cultural-political issues. He also wrote for the Swiss weekly magazine Die Weltwoche and the German daily newspaper Die Welt .

In 2009 he moved to ORF , where he has since headed the music and theater department of ORF television. From 2012 to 2014 he moderated the matinee on Sunday on ORF2 , since 2013 he has presented the series Places of Childhood and since 2015 he has reported on opera and theater premieres for ORF.

He has been presenting the Kulturzeit magazine on 3sat , succeeding Ernst A. Grandits, since January 23, 2017 .

In May 2017 he was one of the four candidates for the celebrity edition of the millionaire show , in June 2017 and 2018 he was part of the moderation team for the broadcast of the Life Ball .
