Peter Schwaiger (pseudonym: Autlaw , born February 4, 1968 in Steyr , Upper Austria ) is an Austrian writer and musician .

Life

Peter Schwaiger passed his Matura at a secondary school in Waidhofen . He then began an apprenticeship as a bookseller in Steyr , which he broke off. He lives in Klosterneuburg .

Peter Schwaiger is the author of short prose , children's books and radio plays . He performs under the name "Autlaw" as HipHop - musicians and produced other bands. In 2004 he reached the 5th place in the protest song contest with his formation Autlaw ("A Gringo Like Me") .

Peter Schwaiger is a member of the IG Authors Authors and the Graz Authors' Assembly . In 1997 he took part in the Ingeborg Bachmann Competition in Klagenfurt . He received u. a. 1997 the Hans Weigel literary scholarship of the state of Lower Austria and a residence scholarship of the Literary Colloquium Berlin , in 1999 the recognition award of the state of Lower Austria for literary books for children and young people and the Theodor-Körner-Prize and in 2003 the Elias-Canetti-Scholarship of the city of Vienna .
