Peter Selzer
Wolfgang Peter Selzer (born June 25, 1946 in Torgau ) is a German athlete and Olympian who wassuccessfulas a walker in the 1960s and 1970s . In 50 km he won medals at European Athletics Championships three times in a row in 1966, 1969 and 1971.
In 1966, 1967 and 1973 he was GDR champion in the 50 km walk. Peter Selzer belonged to the SC Dynamo Berlin . During his competition time he was 1.78 m tall and weighed 64 kg.
Today Peter Selzer is the head trainer in Berlin and trains a. a. the walkers André Höhne , Maik Berger, Carsten Schmidt and Marcel Lehmberg (all SC Charlottenburg ).
