Peter Stuhlmann (born October 10, 1940 - November 1, 2013 ) was a German soccer player. In the 1960s he played for BSG Motor Steinach in the GDR Oberliga , the top division in GDR football .

Athletic career

With five games and one goal in the second-rate first GDR league , the 18-year-old Peter Stuhlmann began his career with the company sports association (BSG) Motor Steinach in the 1959 season (calendar year season) . The BSG Motor had previously been promoted from the 2nd GDR league , but did not manage to stay in the league. Two seasons in the third division followed, before armchair man 1961/62 (return to the summer-spring rhythm of play) returned to the first GDR league with Steinach. Surprisingly, BSG Motor made the march through to promotion to the GDR league, in which Stuhlmann was involved with 14 appearances in 26 league games and with five goals. The Steinacher surprise team was able to hold onto the league for two seasons. Chair man came in the 1963/64 season in 16 league games as a striker used, where he had to pause six games in the first half of the season and was then only called up sporadically. He scored two goals. In the relegation season 1964/65 he was only used on the 6th day of play, after which he did not play for the first team until the 1966/67 season. 1966/67 Motor Steinach played the second year in the GDR league, in which now 30 games were to be completed. Of these, Stuhlmann played twelve games without scoring a goal. It was not until the 1967/68 season that he succeeded in making 27 league appearances in the starting line-up and, with his ten goals, became the Steinacher's second-best scorer behind Günther Queck (14). Then Stuhlmann disappeared again from the GDR league squad of BSG Motor. After he had played one last time in a league game in the 1970/71 season, he ended his career in higher-class football. Between 1959 and 1971 he had played 17 league games (two goals) and 59 GDR league games (16 goals).

  1. The DFB data center also lists Peter Stuhlmann on matchday 8, but obviously confuses him with Rainer Stuhlmann . Most print media assume that the game will be used on the 6th matchday.
