Peter Skov-Jensen (born June 9, 1971 in Esbjerg ) is a former Danish football goalkeeper .

Skov-Jensen, who played four times for the Danish national team, began his football career in the youth of the Danish first division club Esbjerg fB until he moved to Herning Fremad in the early 1990s . In 1999, FC Midtjylland signed him on a free transfer. Skov-Jensen became national team player and Danish champion. At the 2004 European Championships , he was the second goalkeeper in the Danish team behind Thomas Sørensen .

In January 2005 he moved to the former Bundesliga club VfL Bochum . Skov-Jensen initially hoped for a regular place, as his competitor Rein van Duijnhoven was seriously injured in goal and was threatened with the end of his career. Van Duijnhoven became operational again relatively quickly; Trainer Peter Neururer demoted Skov-Jensen to VfL's third goalkeeper.

In the 2004/05 season, the 34-year-old played two games for VfL on matchday 32 against 1. FC Nürnberg and on matchday 34 at HSV, when van Duijnhoven and his representative Christian Vander had to pass. In the following season under the new coach Marcel Koller , not much changed in his situation, van Duijnhoven remained number one, Skov-Jensen only remained on the bench. Nevertheless, he came because of an injury van Duijnhoven four times in the 2005/06 season and was characterized by strong reflexes and good control of the penalty area. Skov-Jensen wore the shirt number 20 in the season , from the 2006/2007 season he wore the 1. During the 2006/07 winter break, VfL Bochum signed goalkeeper Jaroslav Drobný . Since then, Peter Skov-Jensen has only been the fourth goalkeeper.

In August 2007 he signed a contract with the Norwegian first division club Sandefjord Fotball . In early 2008 he moved to Køge Boldklub , where he let his career as a contract amateur end. Skov-Jesen has been a goalkeeping coach at BK Avarta since mid-2008 .
