Peter Staechelin

Peter Staechelin (* 1931 in Lörrach ; † March 15, 2004 in Freiburg im Breisgau ) was a German painter and representative of Concrete Art , curator and university lecturer .

Life

Peter Staechelin lived in Freiburg and in Vaugines . With a scholarship from the German National Academic Foundation, he studied from 1951 to 1958 at the Basel School of Applied Arts and the Stuttgart Art Academy . From 1970 to 1995 he worked as a professor of art at the Freiburg University of Education. Staechelin was a member of the German Werkbund and the Künstlerbund Baden-Württemberg. From 1958 he took part in over 300 exhibitions and organized 50 solo exhibitions in 15 European countries.
