Peter Tevis
Peter Tevis (born February 10, 1937 in Santa Barbara , † September 13, 2006 in Rome ) was an American folk singer .
Live and act
Tevis had lived in Rome since the early 1960s, where he came into contact with Ennio Morricone . This resulted in a long-lasting collaboration on the soundtracks to several spaghetti westerns , to which Tevis sang the theme songs. He had a minor hit in 1962 with a version of Woody Guthrie's Pastures of Plenty .
In the 1970s, he published exercises to teach cage birds to sing.
Then it became quiet around Tevis, who first lost his voice and finally his life due to Parkinson's disease .
