The whole pack against me (original title: La venganza de Clark Harrison ) is a Spanish-Italian western from 1966. Directed by José Luis Madrid , Luigi Giuliani and Marta Padovan play the leading roles under pseudonyms. The German-language premiere of the film, also shown as The Merciless Colt des Gringos , took place on May 17, 1968.
action
On false evidence, Clark Harrison is found guilty of killing Duvall, the owner of a gold mine, and sentenced to work in the penal camp. After completing them, he will return to the same area as the people who falsely accused him. When he is appointed sheriff, he can begin questioning about the background of the events. Through his consistency and through his investigations, to which some of the real culprits fall victim, proven innocence not only wins the respect of the residents, but also the heart of the daughter of the murdered man.
criticism
The “only second class” film received little attention from critics.
Remarks
The title in Italy is La spietata colt del gringo . Peter Tevis sings the film song A Man Must Fight . The exterior shots were taken in Fraga .
