Peter Ulrich (master builder)
Peter Ulrich (also: Peter von Heilbronn , Peter von Pirna * to 1440 in Heilbronn , † 1513 / 14 in Pirna ) was a German architect of the late Gothic period .
Life
Peter Ulrich first appeared in Saxony in 1478 as a ducal foreman in a permanent position for life through Elector Ernst and Duke Albrecht . In Dresden he took on various construction tasks and acquired citizenship there in 1493 . Around 1503 he was appointed there by the city of Pirna to work as a city and church architect . His church buildings remained unfinished until the time of his death. In addition, he worked on the orders of Duke Georg as an expert on the Elbe bridge in Dresden, the town hall tower in Görlitz and onVault of the Marienkirche in Zwickau.
