Peter Wechsler

Peter Wechsler (born July 3, 1951 in Zurich ) is a Swiss painter and graphic artist.

Life

Peter Wechsler, son of the author David Wechsler , grew up in Zurich and Davos . He has lived in Vienna since 1971 . From 1971 to 1974 he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna in the master classes for painting with Rudolf Hausner and Walter Eckert .

Act

Peter Wechsler initially devoted himself to drawing and the gravure printing technique of drypoint . From 1975 painting in tempera and oil under the influence of Abstract Expressionism , from 1994 structural pencil drawings. From 2008 onwards, he works with glass in cooperation with the Geyling glass painting company , Vienna. From 2012 onwards, more and more works in the technique of ink-brush drawings on paper were created.

Exhibitions

Since 1986 exhibitions in Austria, Germany and Switzerland. Works in public collections such as the Albertina Museum Vienna , State Gallery Stuttgart and Kunsthaus Zurich .
